Nails Inc Victoria

Today I spent a while doing a manicure inspired by my friend Holly, who told me she loved Dita Von Teese' nails. All I can say is that it was extremely tricky and less than perfect, but I took a picture to show you anyway.

What I used:
  • Nails Inc Kensington Caviar basecoat
  • Nails Inc Victoria
  • No topcoat (to be explained in my next post!)
  • French tip press on guides

Although I wasn't very happy with the result, I would try this again, I think it could look lovely. I just need more practice!

Oh, and this was the colour I wore on my wedding day, so I have a soft spot for it!

Nails Inc Culford Gardens, Konad M28/M3/Q1

Ahoi!! Tonight's manicure is my attempt at slightly piratey nails! I'm happy with how it came out. It's quite difficult to photograph because of the shine, but I did my best.

What I used:

  • Sally Hansen Miracle Nailgrowth basecoat
  • Nails Inc Culford Gardens
  • Konad Special Black Polish
  • Konad Special Pink Polish
  • Konad M28/M3/Q1
  • Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat

My little fingernail is too small for the swallow or the skull and crossbones so I had to improvise and do each heart individually. I'm also desperate for my new Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat to arrive, mine has run low (as you can see!) and has gone annoyingly thick and blobby, so that the very tips of my nails aren't as smooth as they should be.

What do you think?

My collection!

Another quick post to show you a picture that I took this afternoon. I didn't know my collection had grown quite so much! I'm sure I could squeeze a few more bottles in though...

So many bottles!

Konad M28/M3/Q1 with Nail Pop Vintage shade 29 & Konad M28/M71/M3/M79 with Collection 2000 Parma Violets

Or...as we prefer to call it: 'How Much Konad Can You Get On Two Sets of Hands?'

So, Rachael's nails first. We couldn't decide on just one image, so we did a lovely mix!

(As a side note, I'm pretty happy with that photo, I just used my iPhone and a sheet of white paper!)

What I used:
  • Collection 2000 in Parma Violets
  • Konad M28/M71/M3/M79

I love this look! The Parma Violet polish is really pretty too, and ideal for Konad.

My nails next - again, couldn't decide what to do so went for as much Konad as I could do!

What I used:

  • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle basecoat
  • Look Nail Pop in Vintage
  • Konad  M28/M3/Q1
  • Konad Special Black Polish
  • Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat

My nails

The Nail Pop polish is new to me, I picked it up today in Superdrug from the Look range, along with a couple of other lovelies, on 3 for 2 (£10 for 3!)

l-r: Vintage, Sequin Effect, Catwalk

I am so looking forward to trying Catwalk, it looks beautiful.

So today was a double Konad day, and I'm pretty happy with the results!

All I need now are more nails to practice on...

Nails Inc Crown Court/Konad M79&Q1 Polka Dot Pink!

Here's today's manicure:

No flash

What I used:
  • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle basecoat
  • Nails Inc Crown Court (two coats)
  • Konad M79 Polka Dots and Q1 lightning bolt
  • Konad Special Pink Polish
  • Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat

I quite like the polka dots. I took a picture with the flash on so you could see how bright the colours are:

Nails Inc Crown Court is a beauty. Even though it's quite dark, it's easy to use and goes on so smoothly. One coat would probably have been enough on some nails, but I went for two as I love the dark colour. I think I'm going to have to get on eBay though and get some more Konad colours for stamping, as I've only got black, white and pink at the moment, and I'd really like a gold.

I think these are going to be known as Circus Nails! What do you think?
