Nails Inc Blair/Privileged topcoat

This is the Nails Inc Gossip Girls set that my husband bought me for Christmas. It's a lovely dark teal polish, with a blue/green toned flaky overglaze and I had my eye on it for quite some time!

One coat of Privileged.

One coat, different lighting.

Two coats.

What I used:

• Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle basecoat
• Nails Inc Blair polish (two coats)
• Nails Inc Privileged overglaze (two coats)
• Albert Bridge topcoat

 I love this look. It's very eye catching and changes in different lights. I think it would look really nice over a light colour too. Feels funny not to stamp my nails already, but this look really doesn't need anything added to it, in my opinion.

Konad M59, Nails Inc Berkeley Square

Here is tonight's manicure...


What I used:

• Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
• Nails Inc Berkeley Square (2 coats)
• Konad image plate M59
• Konad Special Black polish
• Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat

Berkeley Square is a very dark, creamy grey. It's the kind of polish that you can't afford to make a mistake with, as it's just so dark. I quite like it in the daylight (I need to take more daylight photos, but...winter is rubbish)


After I finished I painted a couple of the hearts with Nails Inc's Electric Lane, which is a beautiful holographic topcoat. I didn't really like it though, so I didn't do them all! They look nicer in the light as they twinkle, but the overall effect didn't do it for me.

Konad M59/M53, Nails Inc Chapel Street

I did a manicure for my sister-in-law last night. It's only the second time I've tried Konad on someone else, and it went pretty well.

What I used:

• Nails Inc Kensington Caviar basecoat
• Nails Inc Chapel Street (2 coats)
• Konad M59/M3
• Konad Special black polish
• Albert Bridge topcoat

This was the first time I had tried Nails Inc's Chapel Street, and I hadn't realised that it is a matte effect polish. I got it from one of the Nails Inc Lucky Dip offers, and hadn't got round to trying it. I'm not a fan of matte polishes, just because I'm a sucker for a shiny nail. Matte polishes are just a bit too cool for me. I also find them hard to paint with. Chapel Street seems very thick and blobby - maybe I should try stamping with it?! The colour is lovely though, a really nice neutral that almost looks like chocolate before it dries. To stop it from looking so flat I used a shiny topcoat, and we were both much happier with it after that.

I love the large bows!

Konad M57, Nails Inc Culford Gardens

This is by far the most noticeable Konad manicure that I've done. I absolutely love Nails Inc's Culford Gardens as it is just so bright, and I thought it would be ideal to stamp over.

What I used:

• Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
• Nails Inc Culford Gardens (2 coats)
• Konad plate M57
• Konad Special Black Polish
• Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat

Culford Gardens is such an easy polish to use. If you use one coat, you get a gorgeous shimmery sheer gold that really shines. If you use two, you get fully opaque bling!

Absolutely everyone has noticed this manicure (even if they thought it was totally tacky) and I can see me doing it again any time I want nails that stand out.



So, I'm up to date with my Konad manicures - I've shown you everything I've done so far. Next up I want to try stamping with something other than Konad special polish to see I can get any other effects. I also have a large collection of new Models Own and Nails Inc polishes to try...

Nails Inc Victoria and Albert, Konad M59

What I used:

• Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle (my nails are a little bit weak, and this is really helping to toughen them up, even after only a few applications. I use one thin coat as a basecoat.)
• Nails Inc Victoria and Albert (not to be confused with the equally lovely, but much darker red, Victoria) 2 coats
• Konad M59 snowflakes
• Konad Special White Polish
• Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat

I really liked this manicure. It was the first time I had tried the Konad white polish, and it stands out so well against the bright red of Victoria and Albert.

Nails Inc's Victoria and Albert is lovely to use, it goes on pretty well with just one coat, but I use two for total coverage. The topcoat really helps as it makes nails touch dry in about 45 seconds.

Nails Inc Basil Street with Konad M71

So, a second go at Konading. I decided to go for something more neutral this time.


What I used:

• Nails Inc Kensington Caviar basecoat
• Nails Inc Basil Street (3 or 4 coats, some nails needed more)
• Konad M71 plate
• Konad Special Black Polish
• Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat

I found Basil Street to be one of the more disappointing Nails Inc polishes that I have tried. The formula is very thin and sheer, and it took me four coats on some nails to achieve good coverage. That being said, it is a beautiful nude colour, and worth the effort.


This Konad image is beautiful, it's like a delicate vintage lace, and I can imagine that it would look lovely if you stamped it in white.

My First Konad (Nails Inc Chalk Farm, Konad Q1)

So, my first ever attempt at Konad nails was on 19th December 2011, a day to remember!



What I used:

• Nails Inc Kensington Caviar Base Coat
• Nails Inc Chalk Farm (2 coats)
• Konad plate Q1 - this was a special release plate and is beautiful!
• Konad Special Black Polish
• Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat.

Please excuse my horrid cuticles! I've been using Nails Inc Kensington Caviar hand cream like a mad thing, and they are slowly getting better.

I found it much easier than I had anticipated, there are some great YouTube tutorials available on Konading, and I recommend you watch one before you give it a go, it makes it simple.


I've since purchased several more Konad plates and my Nails Inc collection is growing seemingly by the day. I think I'm an addict!
