Nails Inc Piccadilly Circus

Tonight's manicure was an easy one...I have a horrid cold but couldn't leave my nails in their chipped state...

This is Nails Inc Piccadilly Circus, and it's lovely! The camera can't quite capture how nice it is. It's very hard to paint with though, it's such a thick creme that it's easy to make a mistake!

What I used:
  • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
  • Nails Inc Piccadilly Circus (2 coats is perfect!)
  • Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat (made this manicure bubble horrendously in places, meaning I had to redo two nails...this prompted me to hurry to www.beautybay.com and buy two new bottles of Seche Vite and some Seche Restore!)

What do you think? I'm off to suffer my plague in bed with my Kindle...

Essie, Barry M Teal

Hi everyone! Just a bit of a catch up post, I've been so busy these last few days, went away for the weekend to British Superbikes with my husband, dad and stepmum, which was great. So here are a few pictures of my nails over the weekend!

1 - Barry M Pink Flamingo

2 - Essie on sale!

3 - Barry M Teal

What I did this weekend!

1 - I couldn't resist Barry M Pink Flamingo again, it's just so lovely! Goes well with stripes!
2 - I got some Essie stuff on sale in Boots...I'll probably review them separately if anyone is interested?
3 - Barry M Teal! Another lovely Barry M - this one was opaque in 3 coats, and is a lovely bright colour.
4 - The tickets for this weekend! It was SO hot and sunny, really lovely.

What did you do this weekend?

My first China Glaze - Hook and Line

Tonight I tried China Glaze for the very first time! This came in my May Jolie Box and I was happy to receive it! It's a gunmetal type of colour, and I liked it straight away in the bottle...

It went on as this metallic sort of polish usually does - with brushstrokes! I like it though, it's nice and shiny, and on the right side of silver.

To brighten things up a bit, and because I had plain nails the day before, I decided to add another untried polish - Laval in Glitter Dazzle. This is a chunky holo glitter with large and small hex pieces, and it goes well with Hook and Line! The large hex pieces almost look like water droplets on the nail.

What I used:
  • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
  • China Glaze Hook and Line (2 coats)
  • Laval Glitter Dazzle
  • Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat (I miss my Seche Vite!!!)

What do you think? Do you own any China Glaze polishes?

Barry M Pink Flamingo

I officially love Barry M Pink Flamingo...just a quick picture...

Barry M is easily one of my favourite brands, they have an amazing range and the polishes are far better quality than the price suggests...

What I used:
  • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
  • Barry M Pink Flamingo
  • Konad Special Black polish and plate M28
  • Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat

What do you think? What's your favourite Barry M?

Barry M Indigo, new Barry M and Bourjois Magic Nail Polish Remover!

Hello all! Big post for you today! Superdrug has a 3 for 2 offer on again...but this time it's on all cosmetics. So...I couldn't help but get a few new Barry M polishes, and they also finally had a Bourjois polish remover in stock.

    So...here's what I just did!

Quick photo peep at how well it works

Wahoo! This Mrs has a new passport to match the husbands...it's holiday booking time!

The Bourjois polish remover is fairly decent. I used it on my previous mani, which was several coats thick, and it removed it in three dip/twists. I then tried it on two coats of creme polish and it got it off in one. I'll let you know how it gets on with glitter next time I wear it! Overall, fairly good and it smells nice too.

For the manicure, what I used:
    • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle basecoat
    • Barry M Indigo (2 coats)
    • Konad Special Pink polish and Q1 plate
    • Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat

The Barry M is as excellent as I've come to expect - it goes on smoothly and is opaque in 2 coats...and what a colour. I love Barry M. I was also happy with the stamping today!

I used my Nails Inc Albert Bridge topcoat today, because my last bottle of Seche Vite topcoat has sadly reached the gloopy stage. I hate that. It's like the last third of the bottle gets wasted every time... Any ideas?

Exposed Grey and Models Own Pinky Brown

I've got two manicures to show you tonight, because I went to a wedding all day yesterday and didn't have a chance to blog the nails that I did for it!

So, the first is the wedding nails! I wore a pale grey cardigan type thing over my dress, and thought this polish went pretty well:

     What I used:
    • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
    • Exposed Unnamed Grey (2 coats)
    • Nails Inc Culford Gardens sponged
    • Seche Vite topcoat

It's a grey version of the pink nails I did recently (HERE) and I quite liked it.

Next, the nails I just did tonight, this is one of my untried polishes, Models Own Pinky Brown, from the Beetle Juice collection. It's not as horribly sheer as Indian Ocean, but it still took three coats to get it to this, and it's still a bit more see through than I would like. It's a lovely colour though, very duochrome and really quite pretty. As usual though, it's very hard to photograph.

You can see both brown and pink here

    What I used:
    • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
    • Models Own Pinky Brown (3 coats)
    • Seche Vite topcoat

    Barry M Spring Green

Here's the other Barry M colour that I bought recently...Well. Sort of. This is an absolutely lovely, grassy green, true to it's name. But it hates the camera! I cannot get a true colour to show in a photo. I fail!

See how different the colour is here?!

I love it regardless, it's so nice to paint with too, as Barry M tends to be. I probably could have used 2 coats but three was just a tiny bit smoother looking.

    What I used:
    • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
    • Barry M Spring Green (3 coats)
    • Seche Vite topcoat

Are you tempted by Barry M polish yet?

    Exposed in Rock Chick

In between pole practice and work, I wanted to try another of my new Exposed polishes tonight - and I'm glad I picked this one! It's lovely, though I have got a soft spot for purple polish...

     Erm...excuse my messy desk.

Bit blurry to show the sparkle

Because this is such a lovely colour, I decided to be sensible and layer it so I didn't waste any! So, this is layered over a very similar tone of purple, a Boots No7 colour.

    What I used:
    • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle basecoat
    • Boots No7 Vivid Violet (2 coats)
    • Exposed in Rock Chick (2 coats)
    • Seche Vite topcoat

I couldn't decide whether to add more glitter (of another colour) to this, but in the end I've left it alone...maybe tomorrow...

Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream and Spring Green

Here are today's nails! I went to town with my husband and ended up getting two new Barry M polishes. After sending over some nail mail to the lovely Frosso over at www.lacquermesilly.com I decided I had to have Blueberry Ice Cream for myself! I got Spring Green because I don't have another green like it!

Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream and Spring Green

I used Blueberry Ice Cream first. One of the things I really love about Barry M is that they are a great formula for a bargain price (£2.99!). If you're careful they go on so smoothly, and they generally only need two coats. I decided to Konad this one just to brighten things up a bit, though I love it enough to wear on it's own.

    What I used:
    • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle basecoat
    • Barry M Blueberry Ice Cream (2 coats)
    • Konad Special Blue Polish
    • Konad M57 Zebra
    • Seche Vite topcoat

I love Konad blue, it's so easy to stamp with as it stays quite liquid, unlike some of the others which dry insanely fast and go patchy.

What do you think? Are you a Barry M fan?

Exposed in VIP, more Exposed polishes!

Today I decided I had to get more polishes! You know, when you just want some new colours?! Well, I got these:

Nails Inc for InStyle, Exposed in Rock Chick, Barefoot, VIP

This is Exposed in 'VIP'. It's very hard to show the true colour here. I would consider this to be a pink jelly, it's quite sheer. It's much pinker than in these pictures, but I just can't get it to show. There are three coats here. The gold is just random blobs I did with a dotting tool to liven it up.

    What I used:
    • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle
    • Exposed VIP (3 coats)
    • Nails Inc Culford Gardens for dots
    • Seche Vite topcoat

I love Exposed polishes, so I'm looking forward to trying the other colours! What do you think?

Ooh, also, my poledancing pole is being delivered on Tuesday...so excited!
