Butter London The Black Knight, Boots No7 Beautifully Black

Here are tonight's nails. I have been longing for this polish for so long now...and it is so beautiful. It's Butter London's 'The Black Knight' - now known to me as 'The Most Difficult Polish To Photograph In The World Ever'.

First, I painted my nails with two coats of Boots No7 Beautifully Black - mainly because The Black Knight is so lovely I didn't want to waste a drop. I imagine it would be opaque in a couple of coats, maybe three, but I gave it a head start with two coats of this lovely black:

Now for The Black Knight. This honestly is one of the most beautiful polishes I own - but is equally almost impossible to photograph in artificial light. I'm hoping to get a sunshine photograph for you to see tomorrow! Until then:

A lovely blurry picture so you can see the sparkly goodness!

Instagram filtered bonus picture!

It is such a lovely polish - there are loads of colours that literally twinkle. I wish I could show you better!! It is genuinely (and this seems rare) as beautiful on the nail as it is in the bottle.

What I used:
  • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle basecoat
  • Boots No7 Beautifully Black (2 coats)
  • Butter London The Black Knight (2 coats)
  • Seche Vite topcoat

I bought this polish from the Butter London website, and it shipped quite quickly (despite the name, these polishes are made in the U.S.

What do you think of this polish? Would you like to see a sunshine photo?

  • Boots No7 Stay Perfect in Vivid Violet(3 coats)
  • Konad M71 with Konad Special Polish in Lilac

Boots No7 Tangy, Nails Inc Beaumont Street

I just wanted to quickly show you the colours I've been wearing the last two days! It's been sunny and lovely, so I've gone for simple bright manicures.

Yesterday, I wore Nails Inc Beaumont Street, it's a lovely bright pink creme that I've shown you here before, I absolutely love this colour. Here are yesterday's pictures:

A whole hand picture!

Then today I went for a new polish I bought in Boots yesterday - It's Boots No7 in Tangy (great name!) I'm a big fan of this range, they're very pigmented and easy to use. I like the fact that I can use the £5 No7 voucher that Boots do and get these polishes for £2 each even more!

I even managed to get a daylight picture or two of this polish:

Daylight!!!

What I used:
  • Sally Hansen Nailgrowth Miracle basecoat
  • Day 1: Nails Inc Beaumont Street (2 coats) Day 2: Boots No7 Tangy (2 coats)
  • Seche Vite topcoat

That's all for today, just simple easy block colours. I love them both. What do you think?

March Jolie Box Review

I did this with my GlossyBox so I decided I'll show you what I got in the March JolieBox too.

This is only my second JolieBox, and whilst I was quite pleased with last month's, I can't make up my mind this time.

The most exciting moment?
All full size products

Yardley Luxury Body Wash in Lavender

Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner in Powder Pink

Davines Authentic Moisturising Balm

LCN Nail Polish - unspecified peachy colour

JolieBox mirror

What I received:

Yardley Luxury Body Wash in Lavender: I really, seriously don't like lavender, so I was a bit disappointed not to get one of the other three scents. I'm sure this is lovely, but I can't use a lavender product...it's just me, I know.

Davines Authentic Moisturising Balm: I tried a little of this on my hands, and it's supposed to be rinsed off which is unusual, but it made my skin feel lovely and soft and smells sort of like jojoba/lemon.

Eyeko Skinny Eyeliner: Another one I'm disappointed with. I love the design of the eyeliner, but I can't imagine who would find a use for a Powder Pink shade. I don't want to use pink on my waterline and it wouldn't show up on my skin very well at all. Odd. I would have loved a black pencil.

LCN Nail Polish in a peachy colour: Naturally, I was happy to see a nail polish. This is a nice peachy colour with some sparkle. I will swatch it very soon, it looks like it will be sheer with a nice shine.

JolieBox mirror: A nice touch, but I would probably have preferred a sample or product in all honesty, as this isn't the nicest quality, and I have a lovely Ruby and Millie mirror that my mum bought me in my handbag. But I appreciate that JolieBox put these little extras in.

So, overall, I like the balm and I like the nail polish, but the other products are just not for me. I don't believe that many people at all will like a pink eye pencil, and the Yardley product is just too old fashioned for me. I'm not yet sure whether to keep my subscription.

What did you think? Did you love your JolieBox this month?

Models Own Beetlejuice Copper Pot, Nails Inc Emerald Street

I decided today, whilst kinda admiring my pretty Indian Ocean/Chalk Farm combo in the sunshine - I'm not going to be fed up about the fact that the new Beetlejuice polishes are so thin. Nope. Instead, I'm going to do some awesome polish collaborations! So, with that in mind, I bring you Models Own Copper Pot and Nails Inc Emerald Street...

Nails Inc Emerald Street on it's own

You can see a few of the tones here!

What I used:
  • Nails Inc Kensington Caviar basecoat
  • Nails Inc Emerald Street (2 coats)
  • Models Own Beetlejuice Copper Pot (1 coat)
  • Seche Vite topcoat

Models Own Copper Pot is another polish that is very thin on it's own, but perfect for layering. It gleams on top of Emerald Street - you can see so many different colours in the light. I think Models Own could really promote these Beetlejuice colours by suggesting layering. The Beetlejuice polishes enhance any base colour and really make it shine.

Oh, and here's that sunshine shot of Indian Ocean, taken hastily outside work today. It makes me love Indian Ocean, despite my early reservations:

I hope to get a picture of Copper Pot in the sunshine tomorrow (if there is any!)

What do you think of the new Beetlejuice polishes so far?
